S&P GIVI SA Industrial 25 Exchange Traded Fund  

The S&P GIVI (Global Intrinsic Value Index) South Africa Industrial 25 ETF replicates the price performance of the S&P GIVI South Africa Industrial 25 Index, an Index designed to reflect an alternative beta strategy for the South African market. The S&P GIVI indices are a systematic, rules-driven family of indices that combine two factors: low volatility and intrinsic value.

The S&P GIVI South Africa Industrial 25 Index represents twenty five stocks from the S&P GIVI South Africa composite having a GICS sector classification of industrials, consumer discretionary, consumer staples, health care, information technology or telecommunication services with the highest intrinsic value subject to the following constraints:

  • Stocks must have a minimum total market capitalization of R 10 billion
  • Stocks must have a minimum average daily traded value of R 15 million
  • Preferred stocks are excluded from the index
  • The maximum weight of each stock in the index is capped at 30%
